I have been thinking a lot about sleep lately. It is like when you are dieting and all you can think about is food. Sleep is on short supply around here thanks to this silly girl. Cora is taking a daily steroid medicine that makes her aggressive, chubby, a little crazy, and a terrible sleeper. She is up two to three hours a night starving and full of energy (and wakes up at 5:00 ready for the day to begin). She plays around me while I am in and out of sleep on the living room floor. She got into the pantry the other night and ate most of the dog treats. Josh had her the other night and said she was doing laps around the kitchen. She is pretty crazy. Some things I have realized these last couple of weeks concerning sleep:
No one wants to hear my daily log of how my night went, so I am sorry to those who have had to put up with my boring conversation.
Competing every morning on who had a worse night sleep is not good for a marriage.
No amount of eye make-up can cover these dark circles.
The medicine causing her to be a terror is saving her life, so I need to keep it in perspective.
