You are my sunshine

We had such a great day celebrating Quincy's fifth birthday. I have always thought of her and treated her like she is older than she is, but today I found myself wishing she was not such a grown-up five year old. We invited some school friends over for a party and she planned a sunshine theme to go along with it. I should not have been surprised that she would think of something so original and happy. This girl is pure sunshine - always happy, FULL of energy, and thinking on the bright side. The party went well, but I found myself running out of steam by the end of it and have been fighting flu-like symptoms since. When I asked her what the best part of her birthday was, she said her playmobile swimming pool, the pinata we made, and going out to Chick-fil-a with her family.
