Because Liezl starts school this week, we needed a good end of summer activity to do as a family. When we were discussing options, I was surprised when the girls chose a fossil hunting hike over swimming or mini golfing. I figured we would go on this hike and have to convince our little adventurers that the rocks on the trail were petrified dinosaur poop. The hike was short and beautiful and we actually found a lot of awesome fossils along a creek bed that we could keep. The nature center was fantastic as well. I could not think of a better way to end the summer break.

josh, you look thinner. and i am with your girls on not being scared of that snake. sounds like you had a lot of fun there!!
they were actually holding the snake. they also held a turtle. they were pretty brave
fun stuff! summer went by way too fast!
