Keeping busy

Some fun things we have been filling our hot, usually rainy days doing:
Quincy is riding her bike without training wheels now.
Library worm race (Worm Worm the Great did not win, but put forth a valiant effort),
Playing on our swing set turned pirate ship.
Crafting, always crafting. Here is our easiest and favorite craft: Place rocks in the oven (350 degrees for about 10 minutes) then color on them with crayons. The slippery, melty crayons make the rocks smooth and shiny. Careful - the rocks are hot. I would suggest putting them in a deep cereal bowl to prevent the rocks from rolling and keeping the hands farther away (smaller ones work well in a muffin tin).
